Katara, the Cultural Village Foundation’s Cultural Diversity Festival has concluded with an Argentinian folklore performance.
The presentation highlighted the “originality of the rich Argentinian and Latin American traditions through powerful musical performances”, according to a statement from Katara.
The Cultural Diversity Festival began in January, featuring 20 cultural shows representing a number of countries.
The festival was organised by Katara in co-operation with the Unesco office in Doha and the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science.
On the occasion, Katara general manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti said: “Through organising and hosting such a diverse array of performances, the Cultural Village is seeking to further bridge gaps between cultures and create an environment for all to connect in a creative way.
“We continue to partner with the Unesco office in Doha and the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science to emphasise the importance of cultural diversity as an approach towards peace and sustainable development.”
