Condolences to Yemeni president
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday sent cables of condolences to Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi on the death of his brother Mohamed Mansour Hadi.
National Day greetings sent

Attack on Jordan govt office condemned
Qatar strongly condemned the armed attack which targeted a Jordanian intelligence office in Baqa’a in which a number of servicemen were killed.
In a statement issued yesterday, the Foreign Ministry said Qatar strongly condemns the criminal act, which contradicts all human values and principles.
The statement stressed Qatar’s full solidarity with Jordan in all the measures it takes to keep its security and stability.
The statement also expressed Qatar’s condolences to the families of the victims and to the Jordanian government and people.
Qatar condemns Niger attacks
Qatar strongly condemned the armed attacks that targeted a military base in the town of Poso in southeast Niger, killing at least 30 soldiers and wounding 67 others.
The Foreign Ministry stressed in a statement Qatar’s solidarity with Niger and its people and its full support for all efforts aiming to maintain security and stability in the country.
The statement also reiterated Qatar’s firm stance which rejects violence and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, whatever its motives and causes. The Foreign Ministry statement expressed condolences of Qatar to the families of the victims killed by these attacks.
Advisory Council holds meeting
The Advisory Council held its weekly meeting under the chairmanship of HE the Speaker Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi yesterday.
HE the Secretary-General of the Advisory Council Fahad bin Mubarak al-Khayareen read out the agenda which was agreed upon. Then, the Council endorsed the minutes of its previous session.
After discussing a draft law amending some provisions of the Military Service Law issued by Decree Law No 31 of 2006, the Council decided to submit its recommendations to the Council of Ministers.
The Council also discussed a report by the services and public utilities committee in relation to a draft law on mental health, and decided to submit its recommendations to the Council of Ministers.
