HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on Sunday opened the new headquarters of the Interior Ministry.
After viewing the model of the building, the Emir listened to a detailed presentation, given by senior officials in the ministry, on the building and its utilities, contents and the modern equipment that facilitate the work of the ministry.
Later the Emir toured the Police Museum which exhibits old weapons, gears, devices and clothes documenting the evolution of the police force, in addition to a model of Qatar’s oldest police station.
The Emir also toured the conference hall and the main operations centre.
The Emir was accompanied by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani and several Ministers and senior officials of the Interior Ministry.
