Ezdan Mall, a shopping centre owned by Ezdan Holding Group, has announced the launch of its Ramadan campaign for 2016 under the motto “Ramadan is the Month of Blessings”.
A number of events will be held as part of the campaign and these have been created to suit the requirements of all visitors - citizens as well as residents of different nationalities - from all walks of life, according to a statement from the company.
The mall will organise a wide range of events for children during the holy month, running from June 17 until July 1. Targeting children aged three to 12 years, these events will feature interactive and inventive activities that will help teach a variety of skills inspired by the traditional activities performed during Ramadan.
The mall also plans to celebrate the Garangao cultural event on June 24, with kids receiving a special bag to collect candies and nuts while touring Ezdan Mall shops. In addition, the “storyteller” event will be held on Friday as usual, telling historical accounts titled “Stories from the Prophet’s biography”, in collaboration with Eid Charity.
Ezdan Holding Group COO Dr Mousa al-Awwad said, “We launched a new motto for Ezdan Holding Group and its subsidiaries, ‘Ezdan is the place’, based on the success the group has achieved over the past years, particularly the impressive success of its first project in the world of shopping and family entertainment, Ezdan Mall in Gharafa. We are keen to put in place new events to enrich visitors’ shopping experience and create an integrated venue for entertainment, shopping and awareness, making Ezdan Mall the first and favourite destination for families in Qatar.”
Dr al-Awwad also stressed the company’s efforts to open two new shopping malls in Al Wakrah and Al Wukair areas in the near future, noting that they are likely to have a positive impact on the realty and commercial markets in Qatar, especially in view of the fact they are coming up in two areas with a high population density.
Ezdan Mall general manager Malik Awan noted that the Ramadan celebrations would involve the participation of children and their families in fun events in a family-friendly atmosphere. “Through the various events, we are keen to provide adequate care for children and hone their skills and talents, especially in activities aimed at spreading the teachings of Islam,” he added.
Awan said Ezdan Mall will join hands with RAF to host a panel of well-known Islamic scholars and preachers in the framework of the “Bashayer Al Rahma” Festival for six days, starting on June 14, stressing the importance of disseminating the teachings of Islam as part of their duty towards society.
Special activities lined up for children include handicrafts, cooking and planting workshops. Kids will also be exposed to drawing and painting workshops.
