Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and AlFaisal Without Borders (ALF) Foundation have jointly launched Ramadan Voluntary Blood Donation and National Organ Donation campaigns. The two Ramadan campaigns - now in their fifth year - were officially inaugurated by HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani, chairman of the board of trustees of ALF at City Centre Doha. Mobile blood donor units are being dispatched to locations around Qatar to encourage voluntary donation. The main Blood Donor Centre on the grounds of Hamad General Hospital next to the Consultative Council is open to donors from 6pm to midnight during Ramadan.
