Ooredoo distributes water, dates along Corniche

A group of Ooredoo volunteers surprised people walking along Doha’s Corniche on Wednesday with a special gift of water and dates to break their fast for Iftar.
The volunteers, who represented some of the business units across the company, were stationed at the end of the Corniche near West Bay to distribute the gifts at sunset.
As part of the activity, Ooredoo’s “cheeky mascots,” the Alrabaa, arrived to entertain children and their parents, pose for photos, and spread joy.
Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari, director, Community and Public Relations at Ooredoo, said: “Simple initiatives like this seem small, but they enable us to share a special moment with our community and to break our fasts with our customers.
“Every year, we have a dedicated team of employees who distribute these gifts, and I am proud to be a part of this and encourage everyone who sees the team during the holy month to come and say 'hello'."
The event was part of a series of community and charity activities this Ramadan at various locations around the country. Customers can follow Ooredoo’s Ramadan campaign via Ooredoo’s Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter page, and the hashtag #CloserConnection.
