Stallions launch exchange programme

Stallions Cricket Academy have launched a Youth International Player Exchange programme in Qatar. This service will be offered to all youth who are part of the Stallions Sports Academy.
The programme was launched on June 15 with 17-year-old Dylan Alexander, who lives in Qatar, being selected for this wonderful opportunity. Alexander will be playing for the Wetherby CC, Yorkshire, in their U18, U21 and Senior Second eleven teams from June 15 to August 7, 2016.
“We are delighted to announce this programme which would provide a great opportunity for the talented young players to play on foreign soil and develop their skills, stay with a family and learn new cultures and its values, learn to become independent, continue further academic studies, ultimately gaining valuable experience that would help them become individuals with well-rounded personalities,” said Stallions Group head coach Sidath Tennakoon, who initiated this programme.
The benefactors in UK for this programme are Paul and Lynne Marshall from Yorkshire. They will be providing all the facilities and looking after Alexander during his stay in UK. The Player Exchange Programme is co-ordinated by Stallions with its partners in UK, Sports Leisure Travel Ltd UK, headed by Matthew Rogers.
Stallions have entered into a strategic relationship with Sports Leisure Travel Ltd in UK and Wetherby Cricket Club, Yorkshire, to facilitate this programme on long-term basis and plan to send six to ten players to UK in its next chapter in 2017. The Wetherby CC, UK players will get the similar opportunity to stay and play in Qatar and Sri Lanka whilst Stallions players of its other branches in Singapore, Dubai and Sri Lanka will also have the similar opportunities under the programme.
