Commercial Bank has organised an Iftar in honour of the elderly residents of Empowerment and Elderly Care Centre (Ihsan).
As part of the initiative, the bank’s team visited the elderly at Ihsan and shared Iftar with them in an “atmosphere of amity and geniality”.
Commercial Bank CEO Abdulla Saleh al-Raisi said: “In keeping with our Qatari traditions to break fast with family, friends and neighbours, it is our pleasure to share an Iftar with the elderly who have made an enormous contribution to our county.
This Iftar is a gesture of appreciation and respect for both the older generations and for Qatari customs during Ramadan.”
Khalid Abdulla Hussein, director of public relations and media at Ihsan, lauded the Commercial Bank visit and Iftar with the elderly community, noting that this gesture “brought joy and happiness to Ihsan’s mothers and fathers and deeply affected them”.
Ihsan provides home-based care and raises public awareness about embracing the elderly, offering guidance to adopt the best methods in this regard.
Ihsan says it “strives to develop an integrated care system that includes the home, the hospital and the nursing home and endeavours to establish the necessary facilities and legislations”.
