HE the Director-General of Public Security (DGPS) Major General Saad bin Jassim al-Khulaifi paid a visit to the National Command Centre (NCC) on Sunday to inspect the cyber security shield and explore the means of protecting the transportation system from potential electronic threats and attacks.
According to information available on the Ministry of Interior’s online channels, HE al-Khulaifi was accompanied by Abdullah Nasser Turki al-Subaie, chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority; Hassan Jassim al-Sayyid, assistant undersecretary at the Ministry of Transport and Communications; Khalid Nasser al-Hail, CEO of Mowasalat, Badr Mohamed al-Meer, COO of Hamad International Airport; Abdullah al-Khonji, CEO of Qatar Ports Management; and Abdulla Abdulaziz Turki al-Subaie, board member and chairman of the executive committee, Qatar Rail.
HE al-Khulaifi and the guests listened to a detailed explanation on the work of the cyber security shield, workflow in the operations room, electronic arrangements and equipment and how to deal with cyber threats.
He stressed that the cyber security shield is of great importance to security work as “we live in the age of modern technology”.
“We must develop security capabilities and proficiencies so that we can deal with all kinds of cyber threats,” he said, urging all stakeholders to make concerted efforts to ensure the success of this mission.
