HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the existing strategic relations between Qatar and Turkey and ways of developing them in various fields.
During the meeting, which was held at the Presidential Huber Palace in Istanbul, on Sunday evening, the two leaders exchanged views on regional an international issues, especially developments in Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Libya and Iraq.
They also discussed the efforts made by Qatar and Turkey to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations in order to achieve security and peace in the region and the world.
The meeting was attended by the members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir, and Turkish ministers and senior officials.
The Emir returned to Doha yesterday morning after a working visit to Turkey.
