Al Rayyan go down fighting to Inter

Inter Movistar of Spain on Friday kicked off their campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Qatar’s Al Rayyan in a Group B encounter on day one of the Futsal Intercontinental Cup in Doha.
In a game played at fast pace at Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena, Inter made the most of a goal from Borja in the 19th minute. Inter’s second goal was scored by Darlan in the 32nd minute. T Grippi reduced the margin for Al Rayyan after intense battle from the visitors at the backline.
In another game on Friday, Brazilian giants Carlos Barbosa scored a narrow 3-2 win over FC Dynamo Moscow of Rusia at Ladies Sports Hall at Aspire Academy. Rafa scored the opener for Carlos Barbosa in the first minute. Romulus (29) and Fukin (31) scored the other two goals for the winners. Cirilio (17) and Zico (40) scored for Dynamo Moscow.
Meanwhile, in Group A Brazilian giants Magnus Futsal launched their campaign on a positive note by crushing SL Benfica of Portugal 4-2. Living up to past reputation, Magnus Futsal raced to a 3-0 lead in just 21 minutes after strikes by Rodrigo (6), Falcao (18) and Keko (21). SL Benfica reduced the deficit through Bruno Coelho (36) but superstar Falco fired his second goal of the game in the 39th minute. Alan Brandi scored SL Benfica’s second goal in the 40th minute.
In the day’s last game on Friday, Spanish giants FC Barcelona Lassa registered a 4-2 win over Iran champions Tasisat Daryaei.
Wilde struck a superb hat-trick in the 1st, 15th and 35th minute to power Lassa to a comfortable win. Lin was the other scorer for Lassa. Abbasi (20) and Shamsaei (26) were the scorers for the Iranian club.
The tournament continued last night with four more games, with Barcelona taking on Dynamo Moscow, Barbosa facing Daryaei, Magnus playing Rayyan, while Inter battled it out with Benfica.
