Barwa Bank holds Iftar for residents at Ihsan

Barwa Bank has organised an Iftar event for residents at the Qatar Foundation for Elderly People Care (Ihsan) as part of its #My_Ramadan_Moments campaign.
In the framework of its Ramadan campaign this year, the bank held the “open-handed initiative” as a celebration of the holy month’s noble human values and culture of charity.
Talal al-Khaja, chief communications officer at Barwa Bank, said: “Since its inception, Barwa Bank Group has always put people and the community affairs first in everything it does. That is why our staff was honoured to be a reason behind the smile that we were able to draw on our elders’ faces. Over the long course of their lives, senior citizens were the first to extend a helping hand to their community as they have spared no effort to build the nation and create a promising future for the new generation.
“Celebrating Ramadan with them while enjoying Iftar together is the least we can do at Barwa Bank to express our thanks and gratitude. It is a token of gratitude and appreciation to the community that we serve, as well as a practical demonstration of the value of giving and solidarity as a beacon that lights the way for Qatar’s younger generations.”
Barwa Bank’s visit to the residents at Ihsan is a part of its corporate social responsibility, a core element of the Barwa Bank brand. Anchored by its mission and values, the bank is determined to contribute to developing a dignified environment for all to live and work in.
Khalid Abdullah al-Hussein, director of Media and Public Relations at Ihsan, welcomed Barwa Bank’s Iftar initiative with the elders, and stressed that the bank’s interaction with the elderly “supports and reinforces Insan’s goals of empowering the elders in their communication with all segments of society and their integration within the community, as one of its key constituents”.
He also noted that the bank’s visit “instilled joy in their hearts and reflected positively on their health”.
Al-Hussein expressed his delight for the mutual and fruitful co-operation between Barwa Bank and Inhsan Centre, wishing for its continuance in the future and its development to better serve the two parties’ shared interests and pour into the elders’ welfare, empowerment, and attainment of a dignified life.
