Al Rayyan bounce back with win over Magnus Futsal

Qatar’s Al Rayyan stunned Brazil’s Magnus Futsal 4-2 on day two of the Futsal Intencontinental Cup on Saturday.

Al Rayyan scored three goals in the second half to win the intense game at Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiya Arena.
Al Rayyan’s Arthur Linhares opened the scoring in the 10th minute, unleashing a powerful left-footed strike to the left of goalie Tiago de Melho.
In the 16th minute, Magnus Futsal ‘s Diego Rodrigo beat Al Rayyan defense and the goalie but his powerful close-range shot hit the crossbar and landed in the hands of Pereira da Silva.
A minute from half-time, Magnus Futsal’s Borja Diaz smashes a powerful shot that was well saved by Da Silva.
In the 25th minute, Thiago Trippi scored Al Rayyan’s second goal following a goalie blunder by De Melo.
Leandro Simi reduced the deficit for the visitors in the 29th minute.
Al Rayyan’s Linares found and empty net in the 33rd minute. Rodrigo Hardy of Magnus Futsal scored his team’s second goal two minutes later.
Al Rayyan’s Amro Mohssein added his team’s fourth goal in the 37th minute from close range.
After a subdued start, FC Barcelona Lassa beat Russian giants FC Dynamo Moscow 3-2 at Ladies Sports Hall at Aspire Academy.
Lozano (22), Diego (25) and Saad (31) scored for the winners in what turned out to be a feisty contest between the two equally-matched sides. Pula (31) and Nando (38) scored the goals for Dynamo Moscow.
It was the second successive win for the Spanish giants who are placed in Group A. On Day One of the event, FC Barcelona Lassa beat Iran’s Tasisat Dareyaei 4-2.
Tasisat Daryaei went down in their second straight match of the campaign, with Brazilian giants Carlos Barbosa winning 4-3 on Day Two.
Bruno scored two goals as Carlos Barbosa picked up vital points in their Group a clash at Ladies Sports Hall.
Bruno scored in the 5th and 22nd minutes. He was supported by goals from teammates Rafa (14) and Murilo (38).
For Tasisat Daryaei, Vafaei (18), Hajibandeh (24) and Sangsefidi (39) scored the goals in a losing cause. It was Tasisat Daryaei’s second successive loss in the eight-team tournament.
Also on Saturday, Inter Movistar of Spain dropped points when they were held to a 1-1 draw by SL Benfica of Portugal. SL Benfica opened the scoring through Brandi in the 2nd minute but Inter produced the equaliser through Borja in the 8th minute.
