Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has announced the first round of winners of its “Boost Your Salary” summer finance campaign.
As part of the promotion, QIB will select five winners each month between May and July to receive cash prizes equal to one month’s salary, up to a total of QR25,000 per person.
The winners for the month of May are published on the QIB website.
They were selected using a random electronic draw, which took place in the presence of representatives from QIB and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
QIB will announce the winners for June in a few weeks and reveal the last round of winners in early August.
The three-month “Boost Your Salary” campaign began on May 1 and runs until July 31. To qualify for the draw, QIB customers must apply for a minimum of QR50,000 in financing during the eligibility period. The bigger the finance amount, the greater the chances of winning: each QR50,000 of finance during the campaign period entitles the customer to one entry into the draw.
The promotion is available to both new and existing QIB customers.
“I would like to congratulate the first round of winners in this year’s ‘Boost Your Salary’ campaign,” said D Anand, general manager, QIB Personal Banking Group. “We hope that gaining an additional month’s salary will help our winners fulfil their financial goals this summer, whatever those may be.”
QIB offers Shariah-compliant finance products “suitable for all of life’s big or small events”, whether the customers need to finance the purchase of a new vehicle or home, cover the cost of a home renovation, finance a new business venture or require funds in emergency.
QIB Personal Finance is offered at a “competitive profit rate”, including a grace period and free for the first year QIB-Qatar Airways co-branded credit card. QIB “takes the complication out of applying for personal finance” with a straightforward application process, quick approvals and the ability to transfer liabilities from other banks.
There is time left to take advantage of this promotion, QIB has said. Customers who apply for a minimum of QR50,000 financing before the end of June will be eligible for this month’s draw.
Those who apply for financing between July 1 and 31 will be entered for the third draw of the contest.
