The Public Works Authority, Ashghal, announced that service roads on both sides extending from Khalifa Bin Abdullah Al Attiya Intersection to the D-Ring Road will be temporarily closed to traffic.
The service road on the left side of the intersection will be closed from June 30 until July 29 while the service road on the right side will be closed from July 11 to August 9.
The closure is to carry out maintenance works to repair longitudinal asphalt cracks on both sides of Khalifa Bin Abdullah Al Attiya Intersection.
During the closure period, motorists heading north on the D-Ring Road towards Khalifa Bin Abdullah Al Attiya Intersection to reach the area of the closed service road on the west side will need to take a left turn on the intersection onto Haloul Street to reach Haloul Roundabout and then return.
The road users heading towards Khalifa Bin Abdullah Al Attiya Intersection from Al Assiri Interchange can also use Haloul Street and Roundabout to reach their desired destination, as shown in the map.
The road users on the right side will also need to take a right turn on the intersection onto Ali Bin Abi Taleb Street to reach their desired destination as shown on the map.
Ashghal will install all necessary signage in the area to notify drivers during work period. Ashghal has urged all road users to abide by speed limits and traffic signs to ensure their safety.
