Alfardan Group has extended full support to the Watany Qatar media campaign, which was launched recently to celebrate the country’s continuing socio-economic prosperity and strength under the leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
“As gold sponsor, the group has demonstrated once again its unparalleled commitment to key strategic endeavours seeking to promote Qatar’s leading position in all fronts at the regional and international levels,” the company said in a statement yesterday.
Alfardan Group was honoured, together with other campaign sponsors, at a ceremony held recently.
The campaign was officially launched during the festive national commemoration of “Qatar Loyalty Day”, observed to celebrate the inspiring leadership of HH Sheikh Tamim as well as recognise the significant contributions, hard work and loyalty of the country’s citizens and residents.
A group of high-level Alfardan executives was present at the ceremony to accept the award for Alfardan Group.
Omar Alfardan, president and CEO of Alfardan Group, said: “The four important elements of Qatar’s vision are instilled in all our activities, whether through workforce development, community initiatives, environmental management projects, and internal processes and procedures.
“This is clearly demonstrated in our support for the Watany Qatar campaign and all its aspirations.”
Launched by the United Media Centre Executive Department, an independent media centre that regulates interstate and international information, the Watany Qatar campaign focuses on three factors that have driven Qatar’s growth.
These are Qatar’s heritage and civilisation, economic development and projects.
HH the Emir’s vision to build a progressive country whose achievements will be well-recognised overseas; and Qatar National Vision 2030 and its impact on the community through the help and concerted efforts of all citizens, residents, and the government and private sectors.
In line with the project, Qatar’s achievements are featured in a book titled ‘Watany Qatar: For Qatar We Live’, with leading public and private entities taking a prominent spot on its pages.
The awarding ceremony was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Heritage in co-operation with the World Federation of United Nations Associations.
