NZ to begin India tour with Kanpur Test

New Zealand will begin their five-week tour of India with the opening test of the three-match series at Kanpur from September 22, the Indian cricket board (BCCI) said yesterday.
Test cricket will return to Kanpur’s Green Park Stadium after a gap of seven years while Kolkata’s Eden Gardens will stage the second test against the Black Caps from September 30, though the BCCI did not clarify if it would be a day-night test as has been recently reported in local media.
The BCCI said last week they would wait for the players’ feedback from September’s Duleep Trophy in which pink balls would be used.
The central Indian city of Indore will make its debut as a test match centre in the third and final Test, starting on Oct. 8.
The BCCI issued a revised schedule after originally saying the second test would be in Indore and the third in Kolkata, but gave no explanation for the change. New Zealand will also play five one-day internationals between October 16 and 29.
India are set for a bumper season at home when they will be playing 13 Test matches, eight ODIs and three T20 Internationals. England and Australia will also visit India to play five and four tests respectively, while Bangladesh will play a one-off Test at Hyderabad.

Bangladesh announce England tour dates
England will play three one-day internationals and two Test matches against Bangladesh in their month-long tour in October, the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced yesterday.
England, who arrive on September 30, will start their tour with a one-day warm-up match at Fatullah on October 4. They will play the first two one-day internationals at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, on October 7 and 9 respectively.
The third and final ODI will be held in the southeastern city of Chittagong on October 12.
Chittagong will also host the first Test from October 20-24, while the second Test will be held in Dhaka from October 28 to November 1. This will be the first Test series in Bangladesh for nearly 14 months. The hosts last played a Test match in July 2015, against South Africa. The England cricket team last visited Bangladesh for a fully-fledged bilateral series in March 2010.

Beaumont slams ton
Tammy Beaumont became the first England women player to score hundreds in successive one-day internationals as the hosts completed a crushing 3-0 series win with a 202-run victory over Pakistan at Taunton on Monday. Beaumont, dropped on two and 64, made 168 not out from 144 balls as England compiled a colossal 366 for four.
Beaumont went to her century on Monday off just 111 balls, with nine fours.
She also shared a stand of 166 with Georgia Elwiss, who struck 77 from 78 balls before she was bowled.
Pakistan were never in the hunt when they batted and were dismissed for just 164 with five overs of their innings remaining as England fast bowler Katherine Brunt took five for 30.
