The Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) organised ‘Iftar Meet 2016’ for the Indian community at its Ashoka Hall recently. ICC Co-ordinating Officer and the First Secretary at the Indian embassy, Suneel Thapliyal, attended the event. Also in attendance were Ambassador of Japan Shingo Tsuda and Chargé d’ Affaires of Nepal Mani Ratan Sharma. In his welcome address, ICC president Girish Kumar conveyed the Ramadan greetings and welcomed the guests. Former ICC president MI Farid talked about the greatness of Ramadan. Also in attendance were IBPN president KM Varghese; president of ICBF, Arvind Patil; senior community leader, Hassan Chougule; Nilangshu Dey; MS Bukhari; Satish Pillai; and others. About 150 people attended the event.
