Qatar Rail holds Ramadan festivities for workforce

Qatar Rail, as part of its Ramadan activities celebrating and honouring more than 31,000 workers delivering its projects, has held a series of visits to its workers’ accommodation facilities.
The management joined the workers in celebrating the holy month of Ramadan by having Iftar together.
Qatar Rail managing director Abdulla al-Subaie broke his fast in the company of Gold Line workers, while CEO Dr Saad al-Muhannadi met with workers of the Doha Metro Green Line, and deputy CEO Hamad al-Bishri attended an Iftar with the workers of the Red Line.
Speaking on the occasion, al-Subaie said: “Ramadan is a time of contemplation and a time of giving; so, I’d like to take the opportunity to recognise the hard work each and every one of you has undertook over the past year and commend the notable achievements we have made.”
Besides extending his thanks to Qatar Rail’s workforce, al-Subaie said the annual tradition provided an opportunity for the entire company to come together and take stock of its achievements.
Meanwhile, Dr al-Muhannadi said: “I would like to express my deep gratitude to our workers, whose dedication and exceptional performance is an example to follow. I am certain that without their hard work and efforts we would not be able to accomplish our milestones.”
Al-Bishri wished the Red Line workers a blessed month and thanked them for their hard work and commitment to achieving Qatar Rail’s vision and mission in providing the people of Qatar with a state-of-the-art railway network.
The three Iftar occasions helped bring the workers together and improved communication between them. A short video was played during the occasions, which showed the numerous milestones the project had accomplished and highlight their crucial role in delivering Qatar Rail’s projects.
These visits “reflect the ongoing efforts of Qatar Rail to support and improve the well-being of its workers, with the company organising activities and annual events during the holy month intended to unite all the workers”.
