Ooredoo has announced the launch of a new Hala Pack that will provide customers with “great rates” for calls to any number on the Globe Telecom network in the Philippines.
For QR50, customers can subscribe to the Globe Kabayan Pack, which provides 600 minutes to call any Globe Telecom number in the Philippines and is valid for 30 days.
Using the pack, customers can enjoy an effective call rate of around 8Dhs/min, which is lower than standard rates by over 90%. “It provides Ooredoo’s best-ever rate for calls to the Philippines,” the company said in a statement. “To ensure that the whole Pinoy community in Qatar enjoys the benefit of the offer, Ooredoo has made it easy for customers to opt in and subscribe to the pack.”
To subscribe, customers need to send the SMS “GLO” to 121. To call with the pack, users have to add the special promo prefix 1777 to their calls to Globe Telecom numbers (dial 1777 and then 00639178180000).
One of the most popular operators in the Philippines, Globe Telecom has nearly 50mn customers. So, this promotional rate will provide “great savings” for people who regularly connect with friends and family in the country, the statement adds.
