An employee of Public Prosecution has been arrested on the orders of HE the Attorney General Dr Ali bin Fetais al-Marri for disclosing secrets relating to an ongoing investigation.
The Public Prosecution said in a statement that the employee had filmed a document related to a legal case under investigation and published it on social media in violation of the provisions of the law.
The statement quoted the Attorney General as saying that the crime was a serious one and warning that any employee, whether in the public sector or the private sector, who publishes/divulges any classified official information or documents entrusted to him or her, shall be liable for prosecution in accordance with Article 332 of the Penal Code.
Emir to receive well-wishers on first day of Eid
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani will receive well-wishers on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, at Al Wajbah Palace on the first day of Eid, the Emiri Diwan announced yesterday.

From 6:30am to 6:45am the Emir will receive heads of diplomatic missions.
From 6:45am to 7am, the Emir will receive the armed forces and police officers as well as directors of departments and national institutions.
The Emir will also receive immediately after the Asr (afternoon) prayer to 4:15pm sheikhs and citizens.
Emir receives phone call from Turkish president
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received a telephone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday.
Discussions during the call dealt with bilateral ties and means to promote them, in addition to regional and international developments.
