A “very hot” day and a humid night are expected in the country on Wednesday, the Qatar Met department has said.
The mercury level is likely to touch 46C in places such as Doha, Messaied, Wakrah and Al Khor on Wednesday, according to the weather report.
Yesterday, the highest temperature recorded in the country was 45C in Sheehaniya, Al Rayyan, Mesaieed and Turayna, followed by 44C in the Qatar University and Doha airport areas, Al Khor, Batna and other places.
The Met department had earlier reminded people not to expose themselves to direct sunlight.
The forecast for inshore areas on Wednesday says it will be very hot during the day with some clouds and slight dust at times. It will become relatively humid by night.
Slightly dusty conditions have been forecast in offshore areas on Wednesday.
