Medical City signal to be closed for six days

The Medical City signal at the intersection of Ahmad Bin Ali and Mohamed Bin Thani roads will be closed from July 7 to 13, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announced on Thursday.
Ashgal said the temporary closure will start on Thursday evening (July 7) and will last until Wednesday morning (July 13) , to enable maintenance and re-pavement works of the intersection.
The intersection will be completely closed, except for the slip roads which will stay open to traffic (as shown in the map).
During this period, road users coming from TV Roundabout are advised to turn right to Sports Roundabout, and those coming from Sports Roundabout are advised to turn right to Al Shura Council Intersection.
Those coming from Al Shura Council Intersection have been advised to turn right towards the Civil Defence Roundabout, and those coming from the Civil Defence Roundabout to turn right towards TV Roundabout.
Ashghal has apologised for any inconvenience, and has advised motorists to use alternative roads and to avoid this intersection during the closure period.
The authority has also requested all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the signs to ensure their as well as others' safety.
