The Ministry of Education and Higher Education is participating in the 47th International Physics Olympiad which began in Zurich, Switzerland, yesterday.
The competitions will continue until next Sunday.
The competitions, in which the State of Qatar is taking part for the first time along with 87 countries, include theoretical and experimental competitions in physics.
Qatar is represented by a team of five students: three from independent schools and two from private schools.
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education wishes success to the Qatari team at the 47th International Physics Olympiad competitions.

Nepalese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kamal Thapa, met Qatar’s outgoing ambassador to Nepal, Ahmed Jassim al-Hamar, in Kathmandu yesterday.
The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between Qatar and Nepal and means of developing them.
The Nepalese deputy prime minister wished the ambassador in his future assignments and further prosperity to bilateral ties between Qatar and Nepal.
