Real estate transactions in Qatar during the first three weeks of June have dropped 50% or QR1bn compared to QR2bn recorded in the same period the previous month, Ezdan Holding Group has said in its monthly report.
The report said real estate transactions during the same period last year amounted to QR3.9bn.
The report indicated that from June 5 to 9, real estate transaction amounted to QR513mn, up 74.4% compared with the previous week. The daily transaction amount during this period amounted to QR102.6mn.
From June 12 to 16, the amount of transactions amounted to around QR276mn, which indicates a 46.2% drop compared to the previous month. Daily transactions during this period amounted to QR55.2mn.
From June 19 to 23, the total amount of transactions amounted to QR210.7mn or a 23.6% drop compared to the week earlier. Daily transactions during this period amounted to QR42.1mn, Ezdan said quoting the weekly bulletin issued by the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice.
In the period under review in June, 18% of the real estate transactions pertained to empty plots of land and amounted to QR179.5mn. Different types of buildings comprised 82% of the real estate transactions worth QR820.2mn.
These included some 96 houses, six multipurpose buildings, a number of residential buildings, a storehouse, and a palace, Ezdan added.
