The victim of the road accident on Street 27 of the Industrial Area on Sunday has been identified as Balwinder Singh, an Indian expatriate from the north Indian state of Punjab.
Sources told this newspaper yesterday that unlike what was reported by an online newspaper, quoting an ‘eyewitness’, the body was not found headless.
“The victim’s head has been very badly damaged,” said a humanitarian worker, who has seen the body.
The deceased was said to have been hit by a truck, according to the eyewitness.
The accident reportedly took place in the early hours of Sunday in a poorly lighted area of the Industrial Area.
