Retaj Hotels & Hospitality has signed an agreement to manage a new hotel in Doha, Retaj Inn Msheireb, which is expected to open its doors to guests in November.
The contract was signed between Dr Mohamed bin Johar al-Mohamed, vice-chairman and managing director of Retaj Group, and Saeed bin Zayed al-Khayarin during a ceremony at Retaj Al Rayyan Hotel. The event was attended by the Retaj management team.
The new hotel, located in the Msheireb area of Doha, will feature 110 guest rooms and suites “equipped with all the facilities and amenities to ensure the comfort of guests residing in Doha or travelling to Qatar for business or leisure”, the company has said in a press statement.
Al-Khayarin expressed his happiness over the co-operation with Retaj Hotels & Hospitality, under the umbrella of Retaj Group. “We were encouraged by Retaj Hotels’ experience and reputation in hotel management to conclude the management contract for Retaj Inn Msheireb, and are hoping that this will be the beginning of more fruitful co-operation between us.”
Dr al-Mohamed stressed that the group has plans to expand its investments within and outside Qatar especially in the hotel and hospitality sector. This is driven by the group’s vision and mission that focus on investing in the family hospitality and tourism sector, taking into consideration key elements of the Gulf society in particular and the Arab and Islamic societies in general.
He said the signing of the agreement for the new hotel comes as a result of the plans, visions and policies formulated by the Retaj board of directors, which has achieved diversified investments in both the domestic market and abroad (Turkey, Comoros Islands, Saudi Arabia and Sudan) and aims to intensify them after the completion of feasibility studies for many projects that suit the company’s vision.
