HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi yesterday honoured the head and members of the general cleanliness campaign committee of the Industrial Area in recognition of their “outstanding efforts and effective contributions”. A total of 5,013 abandoned vehicles,10,820 tonnes of waste and 21,018 used tyres were removed from the Industrial Area as part of the massive cleanliness campaign launched by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment. The campaign, which started on May 1 and ended June 26, has achieved great success.
