Standard & Poor’s has reaffirmed Doha Insurance’s financial strength rating at ‘A-’ with a stable outlook, the company chairman Sheikh Nawaf Nasser bin Khaled al-Thani said yesterday.
In a statement Sheikh Nawaf said, “At this moment, this reaffirming decision of the rating agency is an important achievement for Doha Insurance Company, under the current regional and global deteriorated economic circumstances, which have reflected negatively on the rating of many companies’ and even countries.”
Doha Insurance is a Qatari shareholding company registered and incorporated in Qatar under Emiri Decree No 30 issued in October 1999, and is listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange. The company has been engaged in the business of insurance and re-insurance.
