Ashghal announces temporary road closures in Al Khor

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced temporary road closures and traffic diversions in three locations in Al Khor, starting from tomorrow (July 28).
It said the changes are due to laying sewage pipes in the northern town.
The first closure takes place on Bilal Bin Rabah Street(see map), where part of the road will be fully closed in both directions. Traffic will be diverted to Al Tamiyah Street and Al Arab Street until the work is completed towards the end of October.
The second closure will occur along 251 metres of Ein al Haitan Street in one direction of the road. Traffic will be diverted to Abu Bakr al Siddiq and Al Tawwash streets until mid-November.
Ashghal will implement a diversion in one direction of Street 211 as well, extending from Al Thakhira Main Road (see map) in front of the emergency entrance of Al Khor Hospital.
The traffic diversion will last until August 16 and during the period motorists can use Industrial Roundabout 2 as an alternative way.
Closures will help laying sewage mains as part of Al Thakhira Sewage Treatment Plant Works and associated pipelines. Road users have been urged to follow the signs displayed on the affected roads.
