Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Qatar’s Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani in Ankara yesterday. The Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings and wishes of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to President Erdogan and the Turkish people of further progress and development. The president asked the Foreign Minister to convey his greetings to the Emir and his wishes for the Qatari people of further development and prosperity. Discussions during the meeting dealt with bilateral ties and ways to enhance them as well as regional developments, especially the situation in Syria, and ways to put an end to the escalating crisis there. The meeting was attended by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu. Turkey’s Prime Minister Binali Yildirim also met with Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed.
