The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced that it will temporarily close the exit of the Al Khor Community Roundabout leading to Al Khor Community Gate 1, from Tuesday until September 6.
During the closure period, motorists who intend to access the facilities or residential area within the work zone have been advised to continue straight to the Industrial Roundabout 2, and turn left at the roundabout to access the local area (see map).
The temporary closure is being implemented to “carry out pipeline-laying work as part of the design, build, operation and maintenance of Al Thakhira Sewage Treatment Works project, transfer pumping station and associated pipelines”, Ashghal has said in a press statement.
The authority will instal road signs to advise motorists of the closure. It has requested all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure everyone’s safety.
