The Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs of Oman, Mohamed bin Salim al-Toobi, met Qatar’s Minister of Municipality and Environment HE Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi, currently visiting the Sultanate.
The meeting discussed enhancing co-operation between Qatar and Oman in the field of environment.
The Minister of Municipal and Environment also met Oman’s Undersecretary of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources for Regional Municipalities Affairs, Hamad bin Sulaiman al-Gharibi.
The meeting was attended by Qatar’s ambassador to Oman Ali bin Fahad al-Hajri.
The Minister of Municipal and Environment is scheduled to meet today with Oman’s Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing, Saif bin Amir al-Shaqsi, and Chairman of Muscat Municipality, Mohsen bin Mohamed al-Sheikh.
He is also due to visit Muscat’s Qurum Natural Park and the Qurum Nature Reserve.
The Minister arrived in Muscat on Saturday evening on a two-day visit and was welcomed by Oman’s Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs Mohamed bin Salim al-Toobi, Qatar’s ambassador to Oman Ali bin Fahad al-Hajri, along with a number of Omani officials.
