Trump lashes out at ‘devil’ Clinton, claims election could be rigged

After referring to her as ‘Crooked Hillary’ for months, Donald Trump labelled the Democratic presidential nominee ‘the devil’ and suggested the November elections could be rigged, at two campaign rallies on Monday.

Bernie Sanders, the Vermont senator and once Hillary Clinton's rival for the nomination, is also ‘the devil,’ in Trump's world.

In Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, the Republican nominee for president slammed Sanders for endorsing Clinton: ‘He made a deal with the devil. She's the devil,’ according to CNN.

At another rally, this time in Columbus, Ohio, Trump said: ‘I'm afraid the election is going to be rigged, I have to be honest,’ without offering any evidence or explanation for his allegations.

Earlier Monday, Trump was severely rebuked by a veteran's group and top Republican Senator John McCain for his criticism of a speech by the parents of a Muslim-American soldier who died in Iraq.

Khizr Khan spoke last week at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, with his wife Ghazala at his side, about their son Humayun Khan, a US Army captain who died defending his base from a car bomber in 2004 in Baquba, Iraq.

Trump did not refer to the feud sparked by his comments about the Khan family, which included criticizing the mother with comments like, she ‘had nothing to say. She probably, maybe, she wasn't allowed to have anything to say.’  Monday appeared to have ended well for Trump, who tweeted ‘Great afternoon in Ohio & a great evening in Pennsylvania - departing now. See you tomorrow Virginia!’ along with a picture of himself - eating a bucket of fried chicken with a fork and knife.
