Many flights between Doha and Dubai were cancelled on Wednesday due to the closure of Dubai International Airport following the crash-landing of Emirates flight EK521 from Thiruvananthapuram.
A Qatar Airways travel alert showed that six Dubai-bound Qatar Airways flights – QR1010, 1016, 1012, 1064, 1008 and 1026 were cancelled and two flights – QR1018 and 1014 delayed at the time of reporting.
Similarly, six Doha-bound Qatar Airways flights from Dubai International Airport were cancelled on Wednesday; QR1011, 1017, 1013, 1065, 1009 and 1027 and 1023 delayed at the time of reporting.
An Emirates statement said its flights EK843/844, 849/850 and 881/882 to Doha and back were cancelled. EK852 Doha-Dubai was also cancelled, the airline said.
Budget airline flydubai said its following flights to Doha and back were cancelled; FZ003/004, 009/010, 007/008, 017/018 and 019/020.
