The Ministry of Awqaf (Endowments) and Islamic Affairs has officially endorsed Ezdan Village 37 mosque in the Al-Wukair area as a place to perform Friday prayers.
Meant to meet the ever increasing population in the area, the mosque can hold more than 300 worshippers. It has also a separate prayer hall dedicated for women.
Last Friday, the mosque hosted its first Friday prayer. A large number of people attended the prayer where the sermon was delivered by preacher Sheikh Ehab Ibrahim from the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
Ezdan Holding Group owns 25 housing villages in the Al Wakrah and Al-Wukair areas, with more than 19,500 housing units, accommodating more than 70,000 people.
Every village has a mosque to serve the compound’s residents.
