A flag-hoisting ceremony will be held at the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) on August 15 (7am) to celebrate the 70th Independence Day of India.
Indian ambassador Sanjiv Arora will hoist the national flag at the event and read out the address of the Indian president.
Students of Indian schools in Doha will participate in the programme, the Indian embassy said in a press statement yesterday.
The embassy has invited all Indian nationals to attend the flag-hoisting function and requested them to bring a photo ID.
The ICC premises are located on Street No 916, Wahb Bin Omair, Al Mamoura. Refreshments will be served during the programme.
