Qatar Charity distributes 5,000 food baskets in Aleppo

Qatar Charity (QC) has distributed 5,000 food baskets in the besieged Syrian city of Aleppo, within its urgent campaign for relief operations in Aleppo.
The aid comes in the framework of relief efforts by Qatari charities, which have stepped up their humanitarian operations to cope with the growing needs of civilians trapped in the city.
Qatar Charity said in a statement today that 5,000 families, have benefited from this assistance, which included basic food items such as flour, milk for children, in addition to the water which had been distributed to the homes by tanks of Qatar Charity in Aleppo.
Mohamed Rashid al-Kaabi, Director of QC Relief Department said that Qatar Charity relief campaign to Aleppo remains constant due to the worsening humanitarian situation in the city.
Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) also announced yesterday that a convoy of urgent relief had reached the city of Aleppo, as part of its relief efforts for the Syrian people.
The convoy consisted of four trucks carrying 20 tonnes of essential foodstuffs and medicines that in co-ordination with a number of partners in Syria.
