Another hot day and humid night are expected in Qatar today, the Met department has said.
Yesterday, the mercury level soared to 47C at a number of places in the country, according to the weather report.
The forecast for inshore areas today says hazy to misty conditions are likely in some places at first and it will be “hot to very hot” during the day. Slight dust is also expected, while it will be relatively humid by night.
Hazy to misty conditions, meanwhile, are expected in offshore areas.
Yesterday, a maximum temperature of 47C was recorded in Sheehaniyah, Al Rayyan, Batna, Karanah, Turayna and other places, followed by 46C in the Qatar University area and Al Khor and 44C in the Doha airport area and Shehaimiya.
Today, the mercury level is expected to reach a high of 45C in Doha and 44C in Mesaieed, Wakrah and Al Khor.
