Doha Bank is all set to inaugurate the relocated Kochi, Kerala branch later this month in the LuLu International Shopping Mall, an iconic shopping centre of the UAE-based EMKE Group.
Doha Bank, which has a strong presence in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, is the first Qatari lender in India to have full-scale banking operations, promising to consolidate the strong bilateral trade between the Gulf countries and India.
The branch will be inaugurated by Pinarayi Vijayan, the Chief Minister of Kerala, on August 27 in the presence of senior government functionaries from the state, senior businessmen from Qatar, Doha Bank chairman, managing director, board members and executive management as well as prominent local corporates who have business interests in GCC and across the globe.
This will be followed by a grand reception at the Hotel Marriott on the same day evening to be attended by the chief executives and chief financial officers of large and medium corporates from Southern India, besides prominent high net worth Indians who have been residing in the GCC.
Doha Bank’s Kochi branch is now located at Golden Plaza, Near Mymoon Theatre, Chittoor Road, Ernakulam.
Doha Bank commenced its operation in Mumbai, the financial hub in India, on April 29, 2015 and has been providing full-fledged banking services which include corporate banking, retail banking, treasury, trade finance and foreign exchange services to its customers.
The bank provides technology-driven customer-centric solutions to include Internet banking, mobile banking, app-based solutions, instant e-remittances solutions 24/7 from GCC countries to its branches in India though the RTGS and NEFT platform to any of the 85,000 bank branches in India and offers ATM services connectively through an extended network in India.
