The maximum temperature in Qatar is forecast to drop to 42C in Doha today from yesterday’s 45C at Sheehaniya and Batna.
Mercury will further drop today to 41C at Mesaieed, Wakrah and Al Khor, followed by 39C at Dukhan, 38C at Abu Samra and 37C at Ruwais, according to the Qatar Meteorological Department.
The weather is expected to be hazy to misty today at first at places before it becomes hot with some clouds and relatively humid by night.
Yesterday, the second highest temperature of 44C was recorded at Jumayliyah, Karanah and Turayna, followed by 43C at Al Rayyan and Ghuwayriyah, 42C in Doha Airport, 41C at Shehaimiya, Mesaieed and Al Khor 39C at Abu Samra, Wakrah and Hamad International Airport, 38C at Umm Bab, and 37C at Dukhan and Ruwais.
The highest humidity of 73% was recorded yesterday at Abu Samra, followed by 71% at Dukhan, 67% at Umm Bab, 66% at Shehaimiya, 65% at Ruwais, 64% at Hamad International Airport and Wakrah, 62% at Al Khor, 56% at Ghuwayriyah and Mesaieed, 46% at Al Rayyan and Turayna, 45% at Sheehaniya, 31% at Batna and 30% at Karanah.
