Doha Bank gets PCI-DSS certification from Sisa

Doha Bank has received PCI-DSS Level-1 certification from PCI certification body, Sisa. PCI is the only standard dedicated to security of cardholder data and rated as one of the most stringent security standard. Doha Bank said the initiative confirms the bank’s dedication for securing the account data in its environment. The certification was granted to Doha Bank by Sisa Information Security, the largest Qualified Security Assessor company in GCC. Sisa is also an approved payment forensic investigator in the region. “With growing business and advancement in technology, vulnerability to external threats becomes a crucial factor in defining the security posture of an organisation. Achieving PCI-DSS Level-1 certification by one of the largest security assessors in the industry helps us in offering a higher level of assurance to all our stakeholders,” said Dr R Seetharaman, Group CEO at Doha Bank. Sisa Information Security Worldwide CEO and founder Dharshan Shanthamurthy said: “We are glad to work with Doha Bank. When organisations go through the time and expense of achieving such a coveted compliance, we understand how much they value the security of their customer data.” Picture shows Dr Seetharaman receiving the PCI-DSS certification from Sisa while other officials look on.
