Doha to host Milipol expo from October 31 to Nov 2

Milipol Qatar, an international exhibition dedicated to homeland security in the Middle East, returns to Doha this year.
The 11th edition of the exhibition, which has long been a key feature on the security market calendar, will be held from October 31 to November 2 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) under the patronage of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
The event is organised by the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar in partnership with the French-based Comexposium Security.
“Milipol Qatar 2016 is expected to witness participation from leading regional and global firms looking to showcase their latest products and service innovations in the fields of security, safety, detection and prevention equipment and systems, as well as various other defence supplies,” according to a statement issued yesterday.
Running alongside this year’s exhibition will be a number of conferences covering key topics such as critical infrastructure protection, crisis management & resilience, safe/smart cities and large events security management.
Brigadier Nasser bin Fahad al-Thani, president of Milipol Qatar 2016 Committee, said: “Qatar retained its position as the most peaceful country in the Middle East in the Global Peace Index (GPI) 2016 released by the Institute of Economics and Peace (IPE). Ranked 34th internationally in peace and security, Qatar is the best place to organise Milipol in the region.
“Milipol Qatar has acquired paramount fame and a distinguished status as the most substantial specialised event in the Middle East for homeland security,”  he added.
Milipol Qatar has launched a brand new website that aims to offer visitors greater information on the event, ways to register and engage through interactive material.
The website, milipolqatar.com, has been designed to provide the ultimate user-friendly experience with improved functionality and navigation right through, allowing viewers to access material easily with the option to share information across key social networking channels.
A new section dedicated to the events during the exhibition and an online catalogue, providing more detailed information on exhibitors, has been added to the website.
The website is also available on mobile devices and in a light Arabic version. Online registration for Milipol Qatar 2016 has officially opened to facilitate smoother entry to visitors who have pre-registered for e-badges.
