Commercial Bank unveils enhanced benefits for newly arrived expats

Commercial Bank, Qatar’s first private bank, has announced a number of enhanced new benefits to its market leading “Life in Qatar” banking service, designed for customers arriving or about to arrive in Qatar.
Commercial Bank’s “Life in Qatar” now includes a free Al Maha platinum meet and greet arrival service, a new benefit introduced this year for the Bank’s Sadara customers to enjoy a fast and comfortable arrival at Hamad International Airport. They will be met by a hostess at the aircraft, holding a personalised name board and escorted through to arrivals. Also this year “Life in Qatar” customers can receive free “2 for 1” offers, where for a limited time only customers will receive access to an exclusive mobile phone application from “The Entertainer”,  upon  credit of their first salary to their account.
Commercial Bank’s “Life in Qatar” customers can open an account online before they even arrive, remit money to cover initial expenses and find extensive information answering the most frequently asked questions about living in Qatar, on the Bank’s dedicated website,  www.lifeinqatar.com
Upon arrival, “Life in Qatar” helps customers get connected with exceptional mobile and entertainment packages through the Bank’s partnership with Ooredoo, with Sadara customers enjoying handset discounts, an extra free 15GB of data with a Shahry plan and free Mozaic subscription for three months.
“Life in Qatar” benefits continue long after arrival, as customers are eligible for two free online international money transfers; a free executive real estate service to find a home; discounts at hotels and beauty spas in Doha; free Uber taxi rides; car rental discounts; fast tracked driving lessons with Commercial Bank’s driving school partners, and new for this year is a 10% discount on driving lessons at Al Khebra Driving Academy.
Joseph Abraham, Commercial Bank CEO said: “With ‘Life in Qatar’ now in its third year, Commercial Bank is both the first and the leading bank in Qatar to provide tailored services for new arrivals. For this year’s campaign, a number of innovative new benefits have been introduced to an already strong proposition to provide the best package available for salaried expatriates in the country, ensuring their settling-in period is fast, convenient and comfortable.”
