Ooredoo ICT workshop tackles issues facing small businesses

Ooredoo recently hosted a workshop for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Qatar to ensure that companies of all sizes can access advanced solutions and services.
Representatives of 25 leading small businesses took part in the session, which provided an introduction to Ooredoo’s vision to become the leading ICT player in Qatar and a “one-stop-shop” for the IT and telecom needs of companies across any industry.
The workshop provided information to small businesses on how ICT services can support their business needs. In particular, the session delivered an outline of cloud-based and solution-led services hosted at Ooredoo Data Centres, which enable companies to deploy the latest technologies without needing to invest in hardware or employ IT specialists.
In addition, Ooredoo hosted a ‘Q&A’ session for businesses to raise areas where they wanted to see more technological support, as well as discuss the solutions they planned to invest more in for the future.
Ooredoo Qatar COO Yousuf al-Kubaisi said: “Companies operating in Qatar’s SME sector help form the backbone of the nation’s economy, delivering vital services across the community and creating important employment and investment opportunities.”
“Ooredoo believes that, with the support of cutting-edge communication and ICT solutions, these companies could achieve their full growth potential and reach out to new markets. This workshop provided us with an important opportunity to present our enhanced portfolio of services – and also to listen to the needs and expectations of our business customers,” he added.  The workshop was the latest in a series of initiatives from Ooredoo to support the growth of SMEs in Qatar. These include the new dedicated business desks in Ooredoo Shops, designed to give business customers easier access to business services and support.
