World football governing body FIFA confirmed on Tuesday that its adjudicatory chamber has begun proceedings against Qatar Football Association vice president Saoud al-Mohannadi.
FIFA's ethics commission's has recommended a two-and-a-half-year ban against Mohannadi who refused to cooperate with an inquiry.
And after the final report submitted by the investigatory chamber the case has been passed on to the adjudicatory chamber.
"For reasons linked to privacy rights and the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, the adjudicatory chamber will not publish further details at the present time," FIFA said in a statement.
Although FIFA did not say what was the subject of the inquiry was, it is not connected with the 2022 World Cup, which Qatar will host.
