QIC offers exclusive insurance products for Qatari retirees

Qatar Insurance Company (QIC) has launched new exclusive personal insurance products to members of the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA).
The product offers GRSIA members a 25% discount on comprehensive insurance for vehicles (saloon, pickups, 4-wheel drive), with additional benefits such as roadside assistance in Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait, and Oman; annual pick-up and drop-off for traffic vehicle inspection and registration; pick-up and drop-off for routine maintenance, annual drop-off to the Hamad International Airport, and a three-day courtesy car service.
Salem al-Mannai, deputy group president and CEO at QIC-Mena region, said, “As a leading national insurer, we take pride in extending our partnership with the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority. Capitalising on the success of this strategic collaboration, we will continue to launch more innovative products and services for the benevolence benefits of all the members of the authority.”
As an added convenience, QIC will be offering ‘insurance on call,’ a recently-launched service whereby a personal insurance specialist will visit the customer and assist in selecting the right cover and issue a policy on the spot.
Also, QIC has extended the special 25% discount for home, travel, and boat insurances. Members can also avail the 10% discount for Third Party Liability (TPL) insurance.
GRSIA head of public relations Noor Abdulla al-Shahrani said, “We would like to thank QIC for this kind gesture and we will work hand-in-hand towards a fruitful partnership. We will ensure that even the members who are not currently registered in our system can avail of these offers.”
Members can avail of the special discounts by visiting the GRSIA website.
