Qatar slams Kabul bomb attack

Qatar has expressed its condemnation and denunciation of the double bombing, which occurred near the Ministry of Defence in the Afghan capital Kabul, killing and injuring dozens of people.
In a statement issued yesterday, the Foreign Ministry affirmed Qatar’s solidarity with Afghanistan and reiterated rejection of violence and terrorism in all their forms and manifestations, whatever their motives and causes.
The statement extend sincere condolences and sympathy to the Afghan government, people and families of the victims.

Working hours
The Ministry of Public Health yesterday announced the working hours for the Women’s Hospital’s office for issuing birth and death certificates.
The office for registering births will work everyday except the first day of Eid and Fridays and Saturdays. The office will be open from 8am-12pm. The office issuing death certificates works in two shifts from 8-11am and from 4-7pm.

Online certificates
The Qatar Chamber for Commerce and Industry (QCCI) has launched the COO Online system to issue electronic country of origin certificates for private sector companies through its website. QCCI said it aims to limit manual transactions and to digitise all procedures through its website. It urged all companies to register for the. Al Anoud Zayed al-Mohannadi, acting head of the member affairs department, said despite seminars held by the chamber to brief the business society on the service, the number of registered companies was still low.

Real estate deals
Real estate sales contracts registered with the Land Registry Department of the Ministry of Justice last week reached QR291.9mn. According to the weekly bulletin issued by the Department, the real estate sales included lands as well as multi-use housing units and buildings. The sales were in Doha, Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Dhakira, Al Zain, Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah municipalities.
