Al-Kuwari arrives
in Kampala
The Adviser at the Emiri Diwan and Qatar’s candidate to the post of the Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco), HE Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kuwari, arrived in the Ugandan capital Kampala yesterday within the framework of his current African tour. During the two-day visit, al-Kuwari will meet with a number of senior Ugandan officials. Earlier he visited Kenya
His tour, which includes a number of African countries, comes as part of his campaign held under the theme “Towards a New Start for Unesco.”
In Kenya, Dr al-Kuwari met a number of dignitaries, including Secretary for Foreign Affairs Amina Mohamed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Co-operation of Rwanda, Louise Mushikiwabo and former president of Tanzania, Jakaya Kikwete.
