A medical delegation from Kuwait’s Haj mission visited the premises of Qatar’s Haj mission in Makkah to learn about the Qatari mission’s medical unit experience in providing healthcare to Qatar’s pilgrims and the latest preparations for them during Haj rituals.
Dr Mubarak al-Ajami, head of the medical unit in Kuwait’s Haj mission, said the visit comes as part of learning about the latest preparations for serving the pilgrims as well as exchanging expertise between Gulf Haj missions.
He added that the meeting with the Qatari Haj mission discussed the idea of establishing a Gulf medical entity under the jurisdiction of Gulf Haj missions. The proposal will be presented to officials from Gulf Haj missions or at the meeting of GCC Health Ministers.
Dr Khaled Abdulhadi, head of the Qatari mission’s medical unit, said such visits allow both sides to learn about the latest health preparations for Haj season and how to boost them in order to offer the best medical services for Gulf pilgrims.
